Becuase people keep asking, I figured I'd put it here. I have 2 cats right now, three if you count Keri's cat, Mudd, who's living with us.
The Black and whit one is Siddalee Walker (after the character in the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood books.). She is the daughter of Vivianne Joan Abbott Walker and is a playwright in New York. Her mother's friends come and more or less kidnap her after an article about her in the paper causes issues between Vivi and Sidda. They take her back to Louisianna, where she grew up and taught her a little more about her past than she really knew. She was then able to forgive her mother, and Vivi forgave her and she was initiated into her mother's "sisterhood" circle of the Ya-Yas.
The black one with no white is Zaknaefin Do'Urden Daermon N'a'shezbaernon. For various reasons, we just call him Zak. His name comes from the Forgotten Realms campaign setting and R. A. Salvatore books. He is the Weapons Master of House Do'Urden, one of the Dark Elf clans in the Underdark city of Menzoberranzan. He is also Drizzt Do'Urden's father, friend and teacher and eventually gives him the strength and courage to leave the Dark Elves and their hate-filled city and start a new life in the surface world. Zak ends up being murdered by the House ruler, Malice, and later brought back as a spirit wraith to hunt down and kill Drizzt. Zak overpowers Malice's hold on him and for a brief moment is his own self and to keep himself from killing Drizzt under her control, throws himself into a lake of acid.
